The IBD Hop Industry is a representative group from the UK Hop and Brewing Industries and includes brewers, growers, merchants and scientists. It is a forum for communications, support and development. It runs the Annual IBD National Hop Competition. Managers and seeks hop research funds, promotes and co-ordinates such activities and an accreditation system for new varieties. Its members are: Nigel Welsh (Chairman), Mike Butterworth (Secretary), Simon Jackson, John Andrews, Dr Debbie Parker, Dr Peter Darby, Paul Corbett, Steve Wright, Dr David Long, Andy Coombe-Jones, Don Burgess, Tony Redsell , Chris Daws and David Holmes.
