How long you've been working in the industry?
Approximately 2 years in the business.
Why did you choose to work in the brewing/distilling industry?
I was fascinated by the smell of a brewery located in our small village in the Austrian Alps as a young child and all developed from there. I found it very appealing that brewing is a unique combination of science, engineering with a bit of magic. Furthermore, I found that the brewing industry to be a friendly and open environment where people who are passionate about beer, ambitious and creative can succeed internationally.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Managing the whole supply chain -- from grain to glass -- into European markets provides me with a new challenge every day. I see the impact of my actions and decisions on our balance sheet. I love this immensley!
I interact with a variety of different cultures daily and every market place we sell beer to is unique. My self awareness and my skill to deal with this broad variety of situations and environments by adapting my style is a big step forward for my personal development.
Furthermore, it gives me great pleasure to launch a beer brand into a new market place, nurture and support it, see it grow and thrive and add profit to our bottom line.
Managing a team is a big skill, inspiring and leading one is an even bigger challenge. I enjoy developing my team and enlist every individual's strengths to achieve our vision.
Kind Regards, Michaela Miedl
