IBD Golf Society Day.

The intersectional Meeting will again be held at Copt Heath Golf Club on the above date. It is an excellent course and is handily close to junction 5 on the M42. Coffee and bacon rolls will be served on arrival. Play will start at 9.30 am.

The morning event is both an individual Stableford (full handicap) and a team competition. Players will be grouped into two divisions according to handicap. Individually each division will play for two cups and prizes. In addition there will be a veteran's cup (65+) across both divisions.

The team event is for the Institute of Brewing Intersectional Shield. The best six scores in each team are counted. If necessary, competitors will be allocated into a team to ensure an even balance. A cold buffet lunch will be served at approximately 1.30pm.

The nine hole afternoon vent is a four-ball better ball competition off 3/4 handicap played for cups and prizes. Partners are allocated by the organisers.
I would expect the day's events to be completed by around 6.30pm following prize giving and tea.

Costs:- The green fees for the day will be £45, and the overall costs including catering and prizes will be £75/£80.

Teams:- Enclosed are two team sheets and I would be grateful if you could return one to me before 16th June completed with players names and current handicaps. Only present and past members of the IBD, IOB, IBG and BFBI are allowed to compete for the trophies although the committee agreed that guests would be allowed to make up the teams for the Shield if short.

Etiquette:- I enclosed a copy of the Copt Heath rules of etiquette. Despite the fact that casual dress can be worn throughout the clubhouse until 6.30pm, I expect a jacket and tie to be worn for the tea and presentation. Please note that shorts are not allowed on the first floor.

Prizes:- In order to keep the costs down, donations of prizes would be appreciated.
Finally, please remind last year's winners to return the trophies, cleaned and engraved in time for the prize giving.

If you wish to play please contact Nick Bott or Philip Brown.
