receives a suitable memento/gift and is invited to give a Horace Brown

the best 3rd year student in Brewing & Distilling at ICBD Heriot Watt. |
The winner
is given £150 worth of books, with IBD bookplates inside noting the year
and name of winner. The award is presented at the Scottish Section annual

candidates. The Board of Examiners are responsible for selecting the
winner, based on examination results. |

receives £1000 and an engraved quaiche. Usually presented at a relevant
Section dinner or convention. If based outside the UK, the winner receives
three days subsistence and accommodation for three nights. However,
candidates organise and pay for their own travel or request their company
do so. |

receives a £500 cheque from the Worshipful Company of Distillers (WCD).
An engraved quaiche is supplied by the IBD/Scottish Section. The award is
presented at the Scottish Section annual dinner. |

by Crisps Maltings. |
