Overview

Aim high

Interested in getting more involved with the IBD and developing your organisational and personal skills? Then why not become part of the IBD Younger Members Network. The Younger Members Network will provide a focus for the interests of member's aged 35 and under. By helping younger members meet like-minded people, the network aims to further both their professional and personal development.
Whether you are employed in industry or a student, the Younger Members Network will offer the opportunity to establish useful contacts and to get involved in a variety of events and activities.
Would you like to represent the views of other younger members in your area and make a difference?

The IBD is currently establishing a Younger Members Network. Every local Section aims to have a Younger Member Representative, who can act as a point of contact between the Local Section, younger members in that area and the IBD. The Younger Members Network will organise events and activities that are directed towards younger members in industry.
It's time to show what you can do!

Your role as a Young Section Representative will be to:

Liase with section co-ordinators to complement current events and activities;
represent the views of other younger members in each local area;
act as a point of contact between the Local Section, younger members in that area and the IBD;
arrange section events e.g. technical visits, lecture evenings, networking opportunities, field trips and workshops. Topics could include networking skills, careers advice, inspirational lectures, communication skills and organise events and
organise events and activities that will interest younger members in industry and students.
