Mr Badger gets a new brewhouse 14
Hall & Woodhouse last built a brewhouse back in 1899. There was an overspend of £8000 which the MD thought may be acceptable for a 2011 project but 40% would not! The Editor paid a visit to Blandford and Brewer of the Year Toby Heasman to see the Musk plant designed to last for the next hundred years...well at least fifty!
Back into brewing 20
Hall & Woodhouse bought the brewhouse from Musk Engineering which we saw at Moorhouses and St Austell earlier this year. Musk is building for Wye Valley later in 2012; the Editor went along to find out why they are the supplier of choice at the moment.
Back down under 26
The Editor, yet again I am afraid! Continuing the report on the 32nd Asia Pacific Convention in Melbourne we look at presentations on tasting regimes and the industry suppliers offerings in the arena of sustainability.
Crop reports from the southern hemisphere 31

Yeast, glorious yeast... 38
The Mauri Products yeast plant in Hull is thirty years old. They are proud of their teams there and tell us a bit about how the supply of yeast to the distilling industry is organised.
Worthy winners 40
Abhi Banik from Heriot Watt and the Scottish Section organised a competition amongst the nation's home brewers with the carrot of a commercial brewing for the winner and runner up.
