Production management: The development of effective processes and systems, identifying and extracting efficiency savings, third party tendering/contract management, leading cost benchmarking activities, driving supplier compliance and ensuring the most responsive and environmentally sustainable end to end operation from supplier through to customer.

Product quality: Championing an unerring focus on product quality, ensuring that own and contract products are brewed and packaged to the highest standards including full compliance with various external audit systems. Have the mind set to ensure that the customer receives 100% satisfaction from our beers.

Procurement and merchandise management: Working with internal procurement teams, establishing best practises, working with and negotiating with suppliers, developing NPD critical paths and meeting sales plans, monitoring competitors and understanding market and customer needs, in conjunction with sales and marketing departments.

People management: Practised line manager with broad experience of recruitment and selection. Passionate about mentoring, training, and developing teams, by using behaviours that drive high performance and fostering a team ethos.

Health & Safety: Conversant with and wholly supportive of all aspects of H&S legislation and personal and team responsibilities and ensuring that it continues to be embedded as a core value of how Production operates.

Strategic Analysis: As a senior manager skilled in identifying areas of underperformance and inefficiency, developing and contributing to strategic plans, devising and implementing measures to improve profitability and performance, which will involve the assessment of contract opportunities.

Relationship management: Adept at developing and maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders and other internal and external audiences at all levels and leveraging maximum benefits from external partners.

Financial: Experienced in controlling budgets, amending cost plans to reflect latest data with good knowledge of profit and loss analysis.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre. It is desirable that the successful applicant should possess a recognised professional qualification in brewing and should be able to demonstrate positive personal career progression and CPD
  • Strong professional Supply Chain experience
  • Excellent people management experience
  • Committed to company development and has/can demonstrate a willingness to operate outside of their comfort zone
  • Absolute commitment to internal and external customer service and operational excellence
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Sets a positive personal and professional standard that others seek to emulate
  • Proactive, patient and on occasions a diplomat and at other times an accomplished negotiator
