This scholarship has been made possible through funding by the J and J Morison Education Trust.
J and J Morison's Edinburgh brewing company joined forces with Scottish and Newcastle in the 1950s, with the Morison family name living on more recently through Mrs Pamela Morison Inches, who, until her death in 2007, was actively involved in supporting brewing education and research by funding students at various UK universities. Mrs Morison also had personal connections with the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, as she held the role of Assistant Secretary at Clarges Street, from 1964 to 1969.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be granted to a current employee from the brewing, distilling and allied industries, from any country in the world. Candidates must have the backing of their employer, are expected to be at a relatively early stage of their career and should be able to demonstrate high levels of attainment either academically or through their career achievements to date.
Apply
The application window is from 1st October 2023 to 30th of September 2024 for examinations in 2025.
