Join the elite team of tutors who participate in our Tutor Guided Learning (TGL) programme.

Over the past six years, we have supported nearly 1500 IBD Diploma candidates from around the world with our TGL programme. TGL Tutors work from home using IBD materials and software to tutor candidates in weekly live tutorial sessions. They also interact and mentor the learners in a dedicated internet forum. The approach has been very successful, so we need more world-class tutors for 2025 – we are hiring!

This year we are looking for tutors for:

  • Diploma in Brewing Modules 1, 2 and 3
  • Diploma in Distilling Modules 1, 2 and 3
  • Diploma in Packaging Modules 1, 2 and 3

Do you have what it takes?

We need experienced subject matter experts with the following attributes:

  • Qualified to at least Diploma level
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Diploma syllabus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to inspire learners and make complex concepts easy to understand
  • Have the time and commitment necessary to deliver exceptional learning to candidates

How does the TGL work?

The TGL programme runs for 18 weeks from January to the end of May. The IBD will train the successful tutors in November/December 2024 with our unique IBD online learning facilitation (IBDOLF) course and prepare them for the start of the programme in 2025.

The IBD offers:

  • Training in how to deliver tutor sessions and operate the software used
  • Access to the online learning material and tutoring resources for every session
  • Weekly tutor briefings to ensure you are prepared to excel in the sessions
  • An attractive remuneration
  • A fantastic opportunity to work locally but deliver globally, interacting with a diverse group of candidates and tutors

We need:

  • Tutor availability for online tutor training in November/December
  • Tutor availability for at least 90 mins per week for 18 weeks of tutoring. Additional time is required for session preparation and mentoring the learners on the forum
  • Tutor availability to mark three practice exam questions submitted by learners during TGL

What's next?

The IBD is committed to developing a truly diverse group of expert tutors and we look forward to your application.
