Diploma in Packaging Tutors

Role Type: Temporary

Location: N/A Online

Salary: Competitive

Company: IBD

Join our elite team of tutors that run our Tutor Guided Learning (TGL) programme. Over the past three years, we have supported over 500 IBD exam candidates from around the world.

Tutors work from home using IBD material and software to teach the candidates via weekly live tutorial sessions. They also interact and mentor the learners in a dedicated internet forum. The approach has been very successful and so we need more world-class tutors for 2021 – we are hiring!

Later this year we are releasing updated online learning material for:

Diploma in Packaging Module 1 (DP1), which covers packaging materials, product preparation and small pack line operation.

Diploma in Packaging Module 2 (DP2), which covers quality management, food safety, supply chain management, finance, procurement, project management, production planning, line design and large pack operations.

Therefore, we need experienced professionals to join our tutoring team who are committed to both personal development and the tutoring programme and, above all, can enthusiastically lead and tutor a small group of learners.  We are looking for experienced packaging professionals who are excellent communicators and have a passion for developing the next generation of packaging managers.

So how does the tutoring work?

The programme will run for 18 weeks from mid-January to the end of May each year. The IBD will train the successful tutors around September / October, and then work with the tutors so they are fully prepared and equipped with IBD material by the time the programme starts.

The IBD offers:

  • Training in how to deliver tutor sessions and also on the software used (Zoom)
  • Access to the online learning material, and a detailed lesson plan and resources for every lesson.
  • Weekly tutor briefings to align tutors on session plans and material.
  • An attractive remuneration.
  • A fantastic opportunity to ‘work locally’ but deliver ‘globally’, interacting with a diverse group of candidates and tutors.

We need:

  • Excellent tutors for Diploma in Packaging Module 1 and 2 TGL
  • Availability for online tutor training in September / October.
  • Availability for 90 mins a week for 18 weeks for tutoring. Additional time is needed to prepare for each lesson.
  • The ability to project your enthusiasm for the topics covered and ‘connect’ with the candidates and other tutors.
