  • Module 1 - Simpsons Malt Award

    Presentation/Award

    The award consists of a cheque for £500 and an appropriate memento donated and organised by Simpsons Malt. The award is presented at an IBD function.

    Eligibility/Parameters

    This award is open to all candidates sitting the Diploma in Distilling Module 1 (preparation of fermentable extract) and it is awarded to the best candidate based on examination results.
  • Module 2 - The Worshipful Company of Distillers

    Presentation/Prize

    The award consists of a cheque £250. The award is presented at an IBD function. In addition they are invited to attend a luncheon organised by the Worshipful Company of Distiller held in London.

    Eligibility/Parameters

    This award is given to the candidate with the highest mark in the Diploma in Distilling Module 2. If the results are tied, then awarded to the candidates with least academic advantage. It is awarded to the best candidate based on examination results.

  • Module 3 - Briggs of Burton

    Presentation/Prize

    The award consists of a cheque for £500, plus an engraved Quaich. The award is presented at an IBD function.

    This award is open to all candidates sitting the Diploma in Distilling Module 3. It is awarded to the best candidate based on examination results.
  • The Worshipful Company of Distillers Scholarship Award

    Presentation/Prize

    The award consists of a cheque for £500. The award is presented at an IBD function.

    Eligibility/Parameters

    This award is open to all candidates taking the Diploma in Distilling and awarded to the candidate with the highest average marks completing all three modules (not necessarily in the same year). It is awarded to the best candidate based on examination results.
