Join us at a joint event with the London Brewers Alliance for a lecture - “Green beer: Beer in a warming world” - by the world renowned brewing scientist and author, Charlie Bamforth, Distinguished Professor Emeritus from the University of California, Davis!

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet Professor Charlie Bamforth. Charlie will stimulate discussion and debate about the broader sustainability challenge we face as an industry. There will be a chance to network over a beer and pizza and tour the new brewery facility at the end!

  • Professor Charlie Bamforth, University of California, Davis. Distinguished Professor Emeritus

Charlie Bamforth is an eminent figure in brewing science, having held prominent positions in academia and industry in a career spanning four decades. Popularly known as the ‘Pope of foam’, he has also authored numerous books, articles, and papers, and has been recognised with prestigious awards from various organisations, including the IBD Horace Brown Medal. He has been actively involved in education and mentorship within the brewing community. Currently working as a Senior Quality Advisor at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Charlie continues to publish work that advances our knowledge of beer and works to make brewing more accessible to a wider audience.
