Barley Walk and Inchdairnie Distillery Visit

Gain insight into modern malting for top quality beer and whisky at the Scottish Section's latest event!

We will start the event by visiting barley, wheat and rye fields and to gain an insight into crop growing conditions. This will be followed by a visit to Inchdairnie Distillery for a tour of the site and discover the inner workings of a ground-breaking new distillery.

Schedule:

• 12.45pm: Arrive at Inchdairnie Distillery for a welcoming cup of tea/coffee, before boarding a bus heading to the crop field visits on Balgonie Estate. The field visits will be led by the farm growers and cereal experts.
• 2.30pm: We will take the bus back to the distillery for a tour of the site. There will then be a talk on the modern malting process given by David Hannah finishing up with a barbeque (weather permitting) and social on site before departing at 6pm.

Stout shoes or boots advisable for cereal field visit.
