The APAC Section is excited to invite its members based in New Zealand for a long-awaited post-covid gathering and to get the latest on dried yeast production and its uses.

Join Scott Sharp-Heward, Technical Manager from Lallemand Brewing NZ, for a presentation about the production and quality processes involved in creating Active Dried Yeast for brewing.

Some questions he will answer include ‘is liquid yeast better than dry?’ and ‘what does QA/QC look like in the world of dried yeast?’. The presentation will culminate in a discussion of new hybridisation techniques in the creation of new brewing strains, and presentation of a new strain in the LalBrew Premium range.

Although qualified in winemaking and science,  Scott is from a production/technical/quality brewing background and has worked in breweries in NZ and the UK for the better part of 10 years. He is now the Lallemand Brewing Technical Representative for New Zealand and is based just North of Auckland.

Tickets: IBD Members - $9
