Golf, History of Brewing in Ireland and Sustainability in Brewing Talk

The Irish Section of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling is delighted to invite you to the Irish Section's Summer Event in Kilkenny.

The day will start with a round of golf on the beautiful Kilkenny Golf Course. There are 14 spaces available but more tickets may be released depending on interest.

After golf, you may wish to visit the Smithwicks Visitor Centre for a fully guided tour of Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny. A local guide will take you on a tour, which lasts approximately 1 hour and at the end you’ll be treated to a complimentary pint of Smithwick’s Ale. We have organised a promotional discount for the Irish Section (promo code to be sent via email to registered attendees closer to the event).

In the evening, we will meet at O'Sullivans Taproom where Eoghan Harkin (SHE Manager, Heineken Ireland) will give a interesting talk on ‘The practical implementation of sustainability in a brewery and its operations covering scope 1, 2 and 3’.

The evening will end with a social gathering at O'Sullivans Taproom.

Schedule:

• 10:00 - 11:00: Golf
• 11:00 - 17:00: Visitor Centre open to those with tickets.
• 18:30: Talk start -  "The practical implementation of Sustainability in a brewery and its operations covering scope 1, 2 and 3"
• Followed by social gathering in OSullivans Taproom, Kilkenny
