IBD Diploma in Brewing Module 1 Preparation Session

The Midland Section invites Midland Section candidates taking the Diploma in Brewing Module 1 (June 2023 exam) to an exam preparation session to review a selection of typical questions from across the syllabus and identify key points to be covered in answers.

This event was put together to help IBD candidates deepen their understanding of the exam material and it will be led by experienced industry professionals:

• Zane Barnes, IBD Fellow, University of Nottingham, Hon. Assoc. Professor
• Rod White, IBD Master Brewer, University of Nottingham, Assistant Professor
• Jon Elks, IBD Master Brewer, Everards Brewery, Head Brewer

Schedule:

• Arrive for a prompt 09:00 start
• Delegates will be presented with typical long answer questions from across the syllabus, given several minutes to identify key points needed by the question, and then sharing/comparing these in discussion with the group and the tutors.
• A tour of the brewery is included
• Attendees can purchase lunch onsite at Everards beer hall

Parking:

•  There is a pay and display car park but the fee will be waived by brewery during check-in

• Maximum 12 spaces
• Other exam candidates and IBD members can apply, but will be on a waiting list on a first come first served basis until the application closing date.
