The IBD Midland Section invites you to attend the 2023 Midland Section Annual General Meeting (AGM), on 8 March 2023 at Tower Brewery, Burton on Trent.

Please note that only IBD members are eligible to vote at the AGM.

The AGM main items are to: present the Midland Section accounts for 2022 and finalise the committee for 2023/24. The AGM will be followed by presentations from current University of Nottingham Research students, who will give an insight into their interesting research. To end the evening there will be a light buffet and chance to tour the brewery.

Speakers - Latest research from University of Nottingham PhD students / Post Docs:

• Will Keeble – Use of Antioxidants to keep beer fresher for longer.
• Ducan Calvert – A circular use for hops
• Joanne Yorke – Sensory properties of unmalted adjuncts
• Andrew Foulkes – Research into Roasted Malts
• Yishen Li – Analysing beer flavours

Schedule:

• 18:30: AGM
• 19:00: Presentations from University of Nottingham Research students
• 20:00: Light buffet & drinks plus an opportunity to tour Tower Brewery
• 21:30: End
  

Tickets: Free, for Midland IBD members confirmed via pre-registration with organiser. IBD-member ticket holders are welcome to reserve a ticket for a non-member guest.
