Gain firsthand insights into the revival and revitalization of a former distillery at the Scottish Section's latest event! We will be visiting Annandale Distillery - established in 1836 and originally one of Scotland’s oldest operating distilleries.

Delve into the distillery's unique philosophy and learn about the distillery's history during the tour, including the process behind the distillery production. You will also have the chance to experience the revived flavors through a guided tasting from maturation casks led by an expert.

Please note that safety footwear is essential.

Schedule:

  • 13:00 -  Arrive for an informal lunch in the distillery’s former maltings with plenty of time for networking and discussions on distilling practice. Lunch will be provided courtesy of the IBD Scottish Section.

  • 15:00 -  Tour and guided tasting

  • 17:00 -  Departure

  • The distillery is 5 km from Annan rail & Bus Stations. A regular train and bus service runs from Gretna Green.
  • There is plenty of car parking at the distillery - car sharing is encouraged.
