The Scottish Section is excited to invite Members and Guests to see how a large distillery manages its cask supply and usage at Macallan Distillery. The day includes a technical tour of the new Macallan Distillery, along with a lecture and discussion on sustainable wood management in Scotch Whisky.

A must for anyone with an interest in wood and how it influences flavour.

 

Speakers:

Scott Adams - Head of Cask Supply, Edrington - has extensive knowledge of Spanish supply chains and strategic cask management. He works closely on achieving brand equity through developing Macallan’s unique partnerships and management of cask procurement.

David Baird - Operations Manager, Edrington -  is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day cooperage activities, cask storage and stock management at the newly opened cooperage facility on the Macallan site.

Hi-Viz & Safety Shoes essential – Please bring Safety Shoes & Hi Vis as these are required for entering the cooperage. Ear and eye protection will be provided.
