The IBD Great Northern Section invites members and guests to Holts Brewery to understand the advantages of borehole water and the challenges it brings. This is an excellent opportunity to see how the reverse osmosis plant generates water for the city centre site, and what treatments are required.

Please wear flat, closed-toe shoes.

Schedule:

  1. Meet at the the Derby Brewery Arms pub adjacent to Holts brewery.
  2. Presentation: An overview on water supply from boreholes, why the ones at Holts were replaced, and the process - Dr Phil Ham
  3. Tour of the Reverse Osmosis plant and water treatment at Holts Brewery - led by the brewing team at Holts. This will be an opportunity to look at some of the practical aspects in more detail.
