My kinda style: An introduction to a new series about beer styles

We all know what beer styles are don’t we? We notice that many traditional styles are being revived and new ones are being created. This innovation is global and not just amongst the almost 7000 US brewers. There is a lot more interest in food and drink these days – brought about by increased travel and multi-culturalism. Most of us now have more leisure time to explore and enjoy different experiences. Happily beer is going through quite a renaissance too.

Golfing tragedy - Coopers goes under par for a new world class facility

Not many breweries around the world have a threehole par-3 course on its grounds but Coopers Brewery does…. or did. Yes, until last year the South Australian family-owned and operated brewery boasted a little slice of heaven in the shadows of the brewery, only to unceremoniously shorten it to two holes. For what I hear you ask? Well, something more relevant and meaningful to the operation I suppose one could argue – a world class malting facility.
