Gain insight into practical and successful barrel-ageing at the Scottish section's latest event! At the event you will tour Innis & Gunn Brewery and hear about the pitfalls of improper cask use and the benefits which can be gained from good cask use.

We encourage brewing and distilling students, brewing industry professionals, and anyone with an interest in barrel-ageing to attend.

Speaker:

Ken Duncan has been brewing for the last thirty-five years in various countries around the world with the aim of welcoming people to the Wonderful World of Beer. Over this time, he has experimented with all sorts of styles, malts yeasts, fermentation and maturation methods to produce complex and characterful yet satisfying beers which can benefit from barrel-ageing. Marrying the right style of beer to the right style of cask and letting the wood do its work is only part of the process and Ken is always happy to share his knowledge for brewers everywhere.

  • No 4 Bus from Perth Bus Station beside Railway Station runs hourly to and from the brewery
  • Please note that there is no parking on site.
