Help shape and formalise the IBD Scottish section committee at the Scottish section AGM on Wednesday, 8th May 2024!

The AGM will be followed by an interesting talk on beer haze control and its implications in product consistency flavour stability and appearance, by Heriot-Watt University's PhD Student, Joel Saunderson.

The evening will end with time to network and socialise.

Schedule:

  • 5.30 pm onwards: meet at Drygate Brewery upstairs bar
  • 6.30 pm: AGM
  • 7.00 pm: Talk - What’s the Craze about Haze? By Joel Saunderson, PhD Student, Heriot-Watt University

Speakers: 

  • Joel Saunderson, PhD Student, Heriot-Watt University

    Joel completed his Master’s in Brewing & Distilling at Heriot-Watt in 2019 and began his career in contract brewing before joining Williams Brothers as a technical brewer. In 2022, he was sponsored by Murphy & Son to carry out his PhD research into haze formation in beer at Heriot-Watt which is ongoing currently.

Drygate Brewery is just off Duke St, next to Tennent’s Brewery, 1km east of George Square and Glasgow Queen Street Rail Station.
