Witness an inspiring lecture - “Looking and tasting good: thoughts on beer stability and haze” - by the world renowned brewing scientist and author, Charlie Bamforth, Distinguished Professor Emeritus from the University of California, Davis!

Speaker:

  • Professor Charlie Bamforth - Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Department of Food Science and Technology, University of California, Davis.

Charlie Bamforth is an eminent figure in brewing science, having held prominent positions in academia and industry in a career spanning four decades. Popularly known as the ‘Pope of foam’, he has also authored numerous books, articles, and papers, and has been recognised with prestigious awards from various organisations, including the IBD Horace Brown Medal. He has been actively involved in education and mentorship within the brewing community. Currently working as a Senior Quality Advisor at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Charlie continues to publish work that advances our knowledge of beer and works to make brewing more accessible to a wider audience.
